Chark Lyon's Missouri-Kansas-Texas, Cherokee Sub Division
This is the third Prairie Rail for this railroad. It’s the fall of 1958, Katy red locomotives and Sloan Yellow cars and cabooses populate the railroad. The Katy mainline runs south from Vinita Oklahoma through towns such as Pryor, Maize, Wagoner, and on into Muskogee. Along the route is Smith, a large industrial complex with 10 Industries to be worked. At Muskogee all freights are switched,
Industries switched and 6 passenger trains are combined or split up. South of Muskogee on the Choctaw sub is Atlas Sand & Gravel and Checotah. There are various through freights and locals that run on the sub.
